Abstract: This paper proposes a fast and simple adaptive algorithm for MMSE (Minimum Mean Square Error) adaptive array antenna or MMSE combining diversity. This algorithm can be implemented with as a small operation as LMS since it is based on VS-LMS (variable step size LMS) for which the step size is provided with a fixed profile. Computer simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has much better convergence behavior and BER performance than LMS.
